Enter to Win a Scholarship!
On Homecoming Day, Saturday, October 5, students, faculty, staff, alumni, friends and families are invited to participate in MCC's 13th Annual 5K Walk/Run for Scholarships.
When you participate in the 5K you can:
- Take advantage of special $10 student registration pricing.
- Enter the scholarship drawing - six scholarships totaling $5,000 will be awarded to current MCC student participants at the conclusion of the race.
- Win a $100 Bookstore gift card! Ten gift cards will be given away during the awards ceremony.
- Win athletic wear! One lucky student will win athletic wear donated by the Athletics Department.
- Win $100! $100 will be awarded to the overall male and overall female first place finishers and to any person who sets a new course record.
- Earn a medal! Medals will be awarded to the first place male and female student finishers and in five-year age increments.
Volunteers are needed! Volunteer and you can enter the scholarship drawing, receive a T-shirt and enjoy a free lunch. Send an email to kshaw@monroecc.edu to volunteer.

Join us Saturday morning at 9:30 a.m. for chair massage, caricature drawing, face painting, blood pressure check, photo area, music and more! The race starts at 11 a.m.
Stay for the tailgate party, awards ceremony and scholarship drawing. Lunch tickets are $5. Prizes and medals will be awarded to top finishers - categories may be viewed here.
We hope you will join us to walk, run or volunteer and make this year's 5K, hosted by the Foundation, our most successful yet by helping more students just like you take that all-important first step: enrolling at MCC and beginning to move closer to crossing the finish line to graduation!
