Clinton Global Initiative University and Verizon Provide Opportunities for Students
Verizon and the Clinton Global Initiative
University (CGI U) have partnered to support college and university
students in creating innovative, sustainable enterprises that address pressing
social challenges through technology. Student leaders and social innovators
from universities around the world are encouraged to apply to the CGI U
2021 program which gives students access to "a social impact curriculum,
high-touch mentorship, seed funding opportunities, and an invitation to a
virtual summit in partnership with Howard University".
Within this year's cohort at CGI U, Verizon will be launching an innovation
challenge, whose finalists will gain access to a summer accelerator program and
have the opportunity to pitch for seed funding.
The deadline for students to apply to CGI U 2021 is January 15, 2021.
Details of the Verizon Innovation Challenge will be released in early 2021 to
students in the cohort and alumni.
