MCC Mapping Club to host Dr. Joseph Kerski

Please join us for MCC's Mapping Club Event on using Modern GIS tools to explore Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and more on Monday, November 13, 11:00am to 2:00pm.

MCC Mapping Club is honored to welcome and host a special guest speaker, Dr. Joseph Kerski, a geographer with a focus on the use of Geographical Information Systems (GIS) across all disciplines. He’s broadly recognized for his geographic insight and work in 4 sectors of society including: government (NOAA, USGS, US Census Bureau), academia (Penn State University, University of Minnesota, and more), private (ESRI: Education Manager), and  non-profit organizations. 

The program includes (space is limited - reservation required):

  • Presentation (11 am to Noon in 11-300): Modern GIS tools to explore Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
  • Lunch Noon to 12:45 pm
  • Hands-on GIS Activity 1 to 2 pm in 11-101: Strategies on Finding GIS Data
