The Calling of the Names

During the annual Days of Remembrance, when our nation commemorates the six million Jews who died in the Holocaust, one very moving ceremony is The Calling of the Names. MCC’s Holocaust, Genocide, and Human Rights Project takes part in this tradition every year. In this solemn ritual, readers take turns calling the names of local Holocaust survivors and the family members they lost. Each name was a life. Join us and bear witness as members of the MCC community and the HGHRP student group observe this tradition.
