MCC Joins Eduroam for Shared WiFi Access on Campuses Nationwide
Technology Services is pleased to announce the availability of the Eduroam
service for MCC Students and Employees. Eduroam is a partnership that was
negotiated by SUNY that allows us to use our MCC network account and password
to access WiFi resources available on other participating institutions'
campuses nationwide free of charge.
For example, if you travel to Geneseo, the University of Notre Dame, or
another member institution within Eduroam that has enabled the service, you
will be able to connect to the "Eduroam" wireless network on their campus and
login with your MCC credentials. Likewise, any members of participating
institutions can now connect to the "Eduroam" wireless network while at MCC
using their home college's credentials.
What is Eduroam?
- Eduroam is a partnership with other colleges to make it easy to use their
campus WiFi while you are physically on their campus using your MCC network
account and password to login.
Does Eduroam offer WiFi at home?
- No, Eduroam only works at participating institutions while on their campus
- it does not provide MCC WiFi at home or in areas not already covered on
participating campuses.
Is there a cost to use Eduroam?
- No, if the campus you are on is participating you can connect to their WiFi
for free.
Participating institutions are listed on the following dashboard:

You can narrow the search by institution name, or by typing a portion such
as "SUNY" in the Organization Name field on this page.
