Today - International Pronouns Day Speaker and Q&A

MCC is recognizing International Pronouns Day on Wednesday, October 21st. International Pronouns Day seeks to make respecting, sharing, and educating about personal pronouns commonplace. Referring to people by the pronouns they determine for themselves is basic to human dignity. Being referred to by the wrong pronouns particularly affects transgender and gender nonconforming people.

Chloe Corcoran (She/Her) will be speaking to the college community from 11:30 am - 12:30 pm about the basics of gender identity, the importance of pronouns, and sharing her personal journey. Immediately following, Shannon Glasgow, Morgan Kennell, and Shelby Trudeau will be hosting a question and answer session for any questions related to gender identity, preferred names, pronouns, and more. Questions about the day's events? Email Shannon Glasgow at sglasgow@monroecc.edu or Shelby Trudeau at strudeau3@monroecc.edu.
