The Sixth Act Night at BUS STOP This Friday!
This is a final reminder to join The Sixth Act in celebrating VaPA's
opening-night performance of William Inge's BUS STOP this Friday, April 13, at
7:30 PM, in the MCC Theater, followed by a post-show talkback with the student
artists involved. Follow this link to purchase tickets: https://monroecctickets.universitytickets.com/user_pages/event.asp?id=
332&cid=28.
According to THE GUARDIAN, "Inge's structure is simplicity itself: a jaded
cafe owner and her young assistant sit in their remote roadside restaurant
waiting for the passengers of a delayed Greyhound bus. They arrive; they leave;
the end. But there is something beguiling about this forlorn slice of
Americana, which meditates on the distances between towns and the distances
between people, like an Edward Hopper painting with dialogue."
This event gives us all the opportunity to celebrate VaPA students and
faculty, enrich our own lives through performance art, and spend time together
outside the classroom. We hope to see you there!
