Don't Let Hackers Into Your Account
If you receive a notification for MFA approval (whether via the
Authenticator app, text or call) and you are not in the process of logging into
your MCC account, do NOT approve the MFA. Someone else is trying to access your
account.
MFA (multi factor authentication) is an extra layer of protection to prevent
unauthorized access to your account. Even if your userid and password are
compromised, hackers cannot get in without the MFA approval on your
device. So if you automatically approve every MFA notification without
pausing to make sure it is for your own log in, then you are giving the bad
actors access to your account.
