Scholars' Day Scholarship Awards
Top student presenters from MCC's 10th annual Scholars' Day competition were
announced Wednesday, May 11th at a celebratory reception. Twenty-three students
received MCC Foundation scholarships ranging from $1,500 to $2,500 for research
and creative presentations. The scholarships were presented by college leaders
and benefactors and special guest Soledad O’Brien.
More than 75 students presented research at Scholars' Day and
participated in the Celebration of Writing and Small Eternities Creative
Writing Capstone Reading at the Brighton campus on May 10 and
11, respectively. Research topics represented a variety of academic
disciplines, including the humanities, science, engineering, and social
