McMurray Lecture: Learning from Chinese Philosophy

The English/Philosophy Department McMurray Lecture is by Bryan Van Norden, of Vassar College and Wuhan University on the topic "Learning from Chinese Philosophy." Although Chinese philosophy is often ignored in academia, Western philosophers have historically engaged with Chinese thought. Van Norden advocates a return to engagement with Chinese philosophy, arguing that we have much to learn from the many schools of thought in China. Van Norden's lecture is co-sponsored by Global Education and International Services. 

The Lecture is on November 18, 12:00 to 12:50pm in room 5-100.
