New York State Contact Tracing Employment Opportunities Available
As we navigate the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic and look to
move New York State away from its current status of being on PAUSE, the ability
of state health officials to engage in contact tracing is instrumental in our
ability to restart the economy and return employees to work. To assist with
this effort, the State has reached out to SUNY colleges and universities and
have asked us to reach out to our staff and students to share these
opportunities with them.
If you are interested in assisting in this effort, you can learn more about
these opportunities: https://c
oronavirus.health.ny.gov/get-involved-how-you-can-help. The State is
seeking to fill three types of positions:
- Contact Tracers: these individuals will reach out to the contacts of anyone
diagnosed with COVID-19 to assess symptoms, ensure compliance with quarantine
and determine social support needs
- Team Supervisors: these individuals will lead a team of 20 Contract Tracers
and one Community Support Specialists
- Community Support Specialists: Work with the team to address the support
needs of those who are contacts, especially those who are under Isolation or a
Quarantine
You may apply for these positions on line at the link shown above.
If you or anyone you know is looking for an employment opportunity and want
to become involved in combatting the difficulties caused by the COVID-19
pandemic, I would encourage you to check out the link provided above and to
explore these opportunities.
