Resource Support for Students
As we kick off the fall semester, faculty and staff are reminded that
resource support for students is available. The Dreamkeepers application on the
college website allows students to apply for emergency assistance
for food, housing, transportation, and/or technology needs.
The Wegmans Student Success scholarships are also now available for eligible
students. This award includes a $400 per semester food scholarship as well as
individual success coaching.
The Wegmans Team and Resource Committee remained active and supported
student needs throughout the past 18 months, and the groups are eager to assist
in the new academic year.
We bid farewell to Student Success Coach Marla Dinkle, who will begin a new
role on campus next month. Marla is an amazing student advocate, and she
will be missed.
The Team welcomes John Biringer back to MCC, where he will now serve as a
student success coach.
In addition to resource support, the college continues to provide mental
health counseling and wellness programming by the Counseling Center and
Disability Services staffs.
We wish everyone a safe and fruitful semester.
