Parking Services Fall 2023 Information

With the start of the Fall 2023 semester, the Parking Services Office is asking that all students please bring all parking-related questions or concerns to the Parking Office directly:

  • in person (Bldg 21, Rm 140)
  • or email parkingrequests@monroecc.edu
  • or call the office (585) 292-2700 during normal business hours.
  • Parking Office hours are Monday through Thursday, 8am to 4:30pm, and Friday 8am to 3pm.

We have also recently updated our Parking Services webpage to provide the most accurate information to the college community. Below are some Frequently Asked Questions that we get from students.

How much does a parking permit cost?

For the Fall & Spring Semester, a $75 Transportation Fee is included on the tuition bill of all students taking at least one on-campus class. The parking permit is included in this fee. Students just have to go online to register their vehicles for the semester, but will not be charged any additional fees. (This fee is applied by the Registration & Records department when the student applies for an on-campus class regardless of whether the student will be driving to campus or not.)

For the Summer Semester, the parking permit costs $50 and will be charged to a student’s tuition bill only after they register their vehicle(s) online for a semester parking permit. The Summer Semester permit covers both sessions. There is no option for only one session.

How do I access the MCC parking portal?

  • Login to your myMCC account using your MCC email address and password.
  • Select the “Student Home” box.
  • Next, select the “Parking” box and this will bring you to the MCC parking portal.
  • Sign in using your MCC credentials.

How do I register my vehicle?

  • Login to the MCC parking portal.
  • Click on “Register Vehicle” and read the Terms of Service. In order to continue, you must click "yes." (Agreeing to the terms will allow financial aid to cover the parking permit fee, if you are awarded enough to cover the balance.)
  • Next, select the semester permit you are requesting.
  • Then either select a “Vehicle Listed” (a previously registered vehicle) or select “Add a New Vehicle” to enter new vehicle information.
  • Select “Confirm” in the bottom right corner.
  • Select “Add Permit to Cart.”
  • Finally, select “Checkout.” This will generate a Confirmation Number and complete the registration process. (If you do not receive a confirmation number, then you did not fully complete the registration process.)

Do online students have to pay for parking?

If the student needs to come to campus during the semester, they will need to pay for a daily parking permit. Daily parking permits are $1.00 per day and can be purchased online.

If the student plans on coming to campus frequently, they can obtain a semester parking permit by contacting the parking office. Online students will need to email Parking Services (parkingrequests@monroecc.edu) with their MCC ID number (M#) or Date of Birth and also include their vehicle information (year, make, model, color and license plate number/state). Once Parking Services registers their vehicle, the appropriate semester fee ($75 each for Spring/Fall or $50 for Summer) will be charged to the student’s tuition bill. This fee can be paid through the Student Accounts Office.

Do audit students have to pay for parking?

Yes, audit students are required to pay for a parking permit even though they are not charged for the class. Audit students will need to email Parking Services (parkingrequests@monroecc.edu) with their MCC ID number (M#) or Date of Birth and also include their vehicle information (year, make, model, color and license plate number/state). Once Parking Services registers their vehicle, the appropriate semester fee ($75 each for Spring/Fall or $50 for Summer) will be charged to the student’s tuition bill. This fee can be paid through the Student Accounts Office.

What do I do if I have a rental or loaner vehicle?

All rental/loaner vehicles must be registered with Parking Services. You are prohibited from parking in the visitor’s lot (Lot V) with your rental/loaner vehicle.

To register a rental/loaner vehicle:

  • Login to the MCC parking portal using your MCC credentials.
  • Click on “Add or Change Vehicles.”
  • Find your normal vehicle and click on “Temporary Replacement” under the license plate.
  • Enter the vehicle information of the rental/loaner vehicle.
  • Select “Confirm.”
  • Enter the dates that you will be driving the rental/loaner vehicle and click “Confirm.” This will register the rental/loaner vehicle temporarily. Once the time frame you have entered expires, the vehicle information will switch back to your normal vehicle.

Where am I valid to park?
