Professor Jasna Bogdanovska and her Photography Students Exhibit Work in South Korea

Congratulations to Professor Jasna Bogdanovska (VaPA) and five MCC photography students (Bethany Couture, Jah’feieth Elliott, Megan Reilly, Melissa Tylock and O’marah Abdul) whose work is currently featured in the Art 52nd Street International Online Exhibition!

Curated in South Korea and organized by Professor Iksong Jin (Chungbuk National University in Cheongju, South Korea), the exhibition includes the paintings, photographs, and multimedia visual artwork of students and faculty from MCC, Columbia University’s School of the Arts, University of Fine Art (Skopje, Macedonia), New York University, Parsons School of Design, Rochester Institute of Technology, and The Art Student’s League of NY. This is the third time Prof. Bogdanovska has exhibited her work in South Korea—and the first time that a South Korean exhibition has comprised MCC student artwork .

To view the exhibition, visit the Art 52nd Street Website. The exhibition catalog will soon be available in the MCC Library.

All the student photographs included in the exhibition are from Culture, History, and Memory: Bridging Rochester’s Past and Present, a collaboration between Prof. Jasna Bogdanovska, Dr. Joe Scanlon (AHPS), and their respective photography and political science students for MCC’s Institute for the Humanities. Visit the Institute’s website to see the full project.
