September is National Preparedness Month
The Federal Emergency Management Agency, FEMA, has designated September as
National Preparedness Month.
The Public Safety Department throughout the month of September will be
sharing information and hosting presentations on how you can adequately prepare
for unexpected emergencies that occur in you community.
Attached to this article you will find a copy of FEMA's Emergency Supply
List. This list provides you with a list of supplies that you may require when
faced with an emergency in your community, of which you will be without basic
services for a minimum of 72 hours. This comprehensive list provides you with a
inventory of items that are recommended when assembling your own personal
Emergency Supply Kit.
You can find additional copies of this and other Emergency Preparedness
brochures at www.ready.gov
A friendly reminder that Public Safety Emergency Manager Chuck DiSalvo will
