Institute for the Humanities May 1 Event: Why Stem Needs the Arts and Humanities
On May 1st, from 6:00-8:30 pm in Monroe A/B, the MCC Institute for the
Humanities will hold its second major event, Why STEM Needs the
Arts and Humanities: Education and Industry in the 21st
Century.
Our program will feature a panel of accomplished and dynamic experts from
higher education and the tech industry who will discuss the importance of
integrating the arts, humanities, and social sciences within STEM (Science,
Technology, Engineering, Math) education and industry. Speakers will include
Eric Berridge, CEO of Bluewolf, an IBM Company; David C. Munson, President of
Rochester Institute of Technology; and Amanda Roth, Assistant Professor of
Philosophy and Women's Studies at SUNY Geneseo. Admission is FREE, but you must
register
in advance.
