Scholarship Program for Indigenous Native and Alaskan Students (SPINAS)
Monroe Community College and the PRISM Multicultural Center acknowledges
the Indigenous People of Western New York. We honor the sovereignty of
the Six Nations-the Mohawk, Cayuga, Onondaga, Oneida, Seneca and Tuscarora and
their land. Monroe Community College and the Native American SUNY Western
Consortium have collaborated to help advance and enhance services to Native
American and Alaskan indigenous students who attend MCC.
The SPINAS program is a combination of students meeting once or twice a
month to discuss topics that influence and help the indigenous communities and
to focus on career goals. By being involved students will earn scholarship
funds (ranging from $1,000.00 to $3,000.00 dollars) a semester. To
qualify students must attend one
of the informational seminar listed
below.
