Day Two of Take a Brain Break Week
MCC Libraries are still with you virtually as we make our way through the
end of the semester. We hope you shared some ways you relax and work through
stressful times on our social media pages yesterday. Traditionally during
Take a Brain Break week the LVG Library provides study snacks, coffee, tea, and
hot cocoa for students. Since there's very little which is traditional
about this semester, this time we are raising a virtual cup to you today.
Cheers!
Did you know that tea is the second most consumed beverage on the planet,
after water? That is surprising since there's a Starbucks or Dunkin' on
almost every corner in some places of the U.S.! You can learn more about tea in
the article 100 Facts About
Tea. A fun fact for all the java junkies out there--coffee beans are
technically seeds. They're the pits of the cherry-like berries found on
flowering shrubs. Read 21 Surprising Coffee Facts That Will Perk Up Your
Afternoon to see how much you really know about your daily cup (or
two) of joe.
** Reminder: Don't forget to make it to Donna Burke's meditation session
today at noon. See attached for the link.**
Here's what is happening the rest of the week:
Wednesday- Puzzle and game day!
Thursday- Using meditation and yoga to manage stress
Friday- Wind down your week with music
