Dr. Robin Cole Jr. appointed as Vice President, Economic & Workforce Development & Career Technical Education
Dear MCC Faculty, Staff and Students,
We are pleased to announce that candidate Dr. Robin Cole has accepted
his appointment as Monroe Community College’s Vice President, Economic
and Workforce Development and Career Technical Education effective on June
21st, 2022. Upon his arrival, Dr. Cole will be focused on the successful launch
of the FWD Center, and getting acclimated to the College and the EDIWS
division.
Dr. Cole currently serves as the Dean of Business and Technologies at
Southwest Tennessee Community College in Bartlett, Tennessee.
He has had a diverse career in the field of higher education, which includes
overseeing both for credit and non-credit programs. He has established
internships and grant training programs focused on rapid re-employment of IT
professionals and has experience with building industry and community
partnerships including dual enrollment pathways within K-12 school
districts.
He earned his Doctorate of Science in Information Systems &
Communications in 2006, his Master of Science in Communications &
Information Systems, and his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in
2000, from Robert Morris University (PA).
