Build Sustainability into Your Life - Wrapping Paper
Americans use around 8,000 tons of wrapping paper annually, roughly equal to
50,000 trees.
- Use Sunday comics, old maps, posters, paper bags, or calendar pages
to wrap.
- Wrap in usable items like scarves, handkerchiefs, or bandannas.
- Place your gift into a reusable shopping bag.
If using purchased wrapping paper:
- Avoid foil, metallic, and heavily laminated papers which should be
thrown away.
- After using--empty, flatten and place plain
wrapping paper, gift boxes, and tubes in curbside recycle bins or
bring to Ecopark.
