Brad Butler, MCC Alumni - Reception and Exhibit at Mercer Gallery

Artist Reception and Talk: Thursday, October 4, 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.

Exhibit runs from October 4 through November 1, 2018.

MCC Alumni Brad Butler sees a parallel between deep thought, deep water, and deep space, and this perceived parallel is a constant source of inspiration. Painting allows him to explore the mysterious, rich blackness inherent in each of these places. Butler explains, "The places represented in my paintings are the places where thoughts can visually manifest themselves underneath the weight of oceanic waves, floating in deep space."
