ALERT - Don't Get Locked Out of Email Monday - Enroll in MFA Now!

On Monday March 7, MFA (Multi Factor Authentication) will be required for students to log-on to email.  Set up your MFA now to avoid getting an error message when you try to sign in to your email on or after Monday.

To enroll in MFA, go to the App Store or Google Play to download the Microsoft Authenticator App on your phone.  Then on your computer go to myaccount.microsoft.com and sign in with your MCC student userid and password. Then click Security Info and then Click on + Add Method.  Select Authenticator App from the drop-down menu and follow the on-screen instructions.

FAQ's

Do I have to have a smartphone and download the Microsoft Authenticator App to enroll in MFA?
No. Although downloading the Microsoft Authenticator App to your smartphone or tablet is strongly recommended as both the most secure and the most convenient method for the user, it is not required. When setting up Microsoft MFA at myaccount.microsoft.com on your computer, you can choose another option as the default MFA, including a text or phone call.  

What if I don't have a smartphone in which to download the MFA app or a cell phone that can receive a text or call, and there is no telephone that can accept an incoming call in the location in which I need to sign into MCC systems?
Students who do not have a cellphone or smartphone nor even a telephone that can accept incoming calls in the location where they are signing into affected systems should email Ryan Messenger (rmessenger@monroecc.edu) for help. Please do this as soon as possible to prevent delay in providing a solution to you.
