Auditions for the Drama on Demand Showcase

AUDITION DATE and TIME: Tuesday, March 15 from 3:30pm-5pm

AUDITION LOCATION: The Black Box Theatre, 4-145

PRODUCTION SUMMARY: The College's final theatrical event of the academic year, the Drama on Demand Showcase, will feature a variety of scenes and monologues from a collection of plays ranging from classical to contemporary, William Shakespeare to August Wilson, comedic to dramatic, and deal with a wide range of topics. Show dates will be during finals week.

AUDITION REQUIREMENTS: Aspiring actors must be currently enrolled students and must prepare 12-15 lines from a Shakespearean monologue. The monologue should be from one of Shakespeare's histories or tragedies. In addition to the Shakespeare piece, actors may be asked to cold-read from contemporary scripts that will be provided. If cast, students will be enrolled in THE 190: Theatre Rehearsal and Performance, and earn three Humanities credits. Rehearsals are held Mondays-Thursdays from 3:30pm-6:00pm and will begin on April 4th in the Mainstage Theatre. This is a class, so all required tuition and fees apply.
