Workshop: Negotiating Satisfaction: Paying for the Life You
Want
w/Shelby George, JD, Founder and Chief Explorer
Underemployment and job dissatisfaction are biggest workplace frustrations.
For most of us, just finding a job is not enough to make us feel
satisfied. The good news is that a little planning can go a long way. This
session is designed to be an interactive workshop for people who are interested
in moving closer to a job and a life that they love. Attendees will learn about
the three building blocks to improving satisfaction. Then, attendees will have
45-60 minutes of small group discussion on the workshop exercise of their
choosing. Attendees can choose between three exercises: i) Creating a Life Map,
designed to help attendees name their values and goals, ii) Finally a Realistic
Financial Plan, designed to help attendees understand the biggest contributors
to financial security, or iii) Negotiation Role Play, designed to help
attendees prepare for a negotiation with a current or prospective employer.
