Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month: September 15 to October 15, 2023

This year's National 2023 theme is "Latinos: Driving Prosperity, Power, and Progress in America."

Each year Americans observe National Hispanic Heritage Month by celebrating the rich history, cultures, and contributions of American Citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America.

Today, over 62.6 million Hispanics make up the second-largest racial or ethnic group in the U.S., accounting for 19% of the nation’s total population. To honor and pay tribute to all of the contributions Hispanic Americans have given to the United States – and the world – we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with pride.

Join us as we showcase a month-long display of pictures with stories about Latino individuals within MCC and across all paths of influencers in music, theatre, arts, journalism, law, STEM and education who helped contribute and build America.  We encourage students, faculty, and staff to tour the display at the Brighton Campus outside of the PRISM Multicultural Center along the Brick Lounge (Building 1) and at the Downtown Campus on the 2nd floor in the Student Lounge.
