Green Tip: Sustainability Webinar Series

Sustainability is a term we hear often but what does it really mean? According to Investopedia, sustainability is most often defined as meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their needs. There are three main pillars of sustainability- social, economic, and environmental. Our focus is most often on environmental sustainability.

New York State's Office of General Services has a webinar series on "How to Build Sustainability in Your Life." The last webinar will be on October 8th at NOON (free but pre-registration is required) - "Energy Efficiency for Renters." Past webinars can be viewed at the Lunchtime Learning web site and cover topics such as Composting, Greener Gifting, Home Weatherization and Plastics Avoidance. This is a perfect opportunity to learn more about sustainability during Campus Sustainability Month.

To register for the October 8th webinar, go the Lunchtime Learning page and click on Register Now (https://ogs.ny.gov/greenny/ lunchtime-learning).
