Congratulations to the 2021-2022 MCC Recipient of the Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Adjunct Teaching
The Chancellor’s Awards for Excellence are System-level honors
conferred to acknowledge and provide system-wide recognition for superior
professional achievement and to encourage the ongoing pursuit of continuous
academic excellence. These programs underscore SUNY’s commitment to
sustaining intellectual vibrancy, advancing the boundaries of knowledge,
providing the highest quality of instruction, and serving the public good.
The Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Adjunct Teaching recognizes
consistently superior teaching at the graduate, undergraduate, or professional
level in keeping with the State University’s commitment to providing its
students with instruction of the highest quality.
The MCC community proudly congratulates the
2021-2022 recipient of the Chancellor's Award for
Excellence in Adjunct Teaching:
- NAOMI SCHLAGMAN, Professor, Anthropology, History,
Political Science, & Sociology
In the call for nominations, Dr. Shadi Shahedipour-Sandvik,
Provost-in-Charge, stated:
Our diverse adjunct faculty are an important component of the
educational experience of our students at the graduate, undergraduate or
professional levels, and vital members of the SUNY community. This
Chancellor’s Award for Excellence is a recognition of, and a tribute to,
the expertise, commitment, and dedication of SUNY’s adjunct faculty who
rise to serve as exemplars for their peers.
We are deeply grateful to Professor Schlagman for her superior teaching
and dedicated service to our MCC students. Congratulations to you!
