MFA Coming Soon - Opt-In Now
In the near future the college will be rolling out mandatory MFA
(multi-factor authentication) to protect our systems and data.
This will require the use of an authenticator app or an additional
code to be entered at log-on in addition to your MCC Network Account User ID
and password. We will start with Microsoft 365 services (including student
email) and progressively add additional systems each week.
MCC faculty, staff and students already have the ability to enroll in
MFA right now so that you are all set when MFA becomes mandatory. To avoid
being locked out of systems you need immediate access to, we strongly
recommend you enroll during the opt-in phase prior to MFA becoming
mandatory. Otherwise you risk being forced to enroll in MFA at a time
that is inconvenient; you will be blocked from logging in until you provide the
required MFA.
MFA enrollment Instructions are attached. If you already have MFA enabled,
please refer to the Microsoft MFA Modify Setup.pdf document to configure your
MFA settings to MCC’s recommendations.
Look for more information in the coming weeks in Daily Tribune
articles.
