Walk-in's and Volunteers are welcome at MCC's 5K Walk/Run for Scholarships

Walk-in’s are welcome to participate in MCC’s 5K Walk/Run for Scholarships this Saturday, October 1. Not interested in walking or running in the 5K?  Volunteers are still needed.

Both participants and volunteers are eligible to enter their names in the scholarship drawing—nine student names will be drawn to receive MCC scholarship awards totaling $5,000 and ten lucky students will receive $100 Bookstore gift cards!

Join in the fun on Homecoming Day with Zumba warm up, photo area, music and more.  Special student pricing to register to walk or run is $10 and includes a commemorative T-shirt.  Registration opens at 9:00 a.m. at the Stabins Physical Educational Complex.  The walk/run will start at promptly 10 a.m.

To volunteer, email Christy Anderson-Evens candersonevans003@monroecc.edu.  Volunteers are asked to arrive at 8:30 a.m.  Let us know how you want to be involved.

Following the race, stay for the tailgate party, light refreshments will be served. The awards and scholarship drawing will be announced at 11:30 a.m.

The 5K is hosted by the MCC Foundation.  We thank you for participating!
