Insights after Landing: the NASA Mars InSight Mission

Earlier this month, NASA may have detected the first "Marsquake" based on data collected from the Mars InSight Mission. SUNY Geneseo Professor of Geology and NASA scientist Dr. Nick Warner and his students helped to select its landing site.

How was this selection made? What data made it possible? Were their predictions correct? What is the first data back from Mars telling scientists about its interior? Find out the answers to these questions and more on Wednesday, May 2 at 7 PM in 8-200.

This event is sponsored by the Department of Chemistry and Geosciences and is open to the public.
