Public Safety Crisis Intervention Team Training
MCC Public Safety Sergeant Jose Roman completed a 40 hr Crisis Intervention
Team Training last week at the Public Safety Training Facility. This course
provided attendees with the tools and knowledge to assist individuals
experiencing an emotional or mental health crisis. In this course, attendees
learned to recognize the symptoms of emotional/mental health emergencies, tools
to de-escalate volatile situations, and community resources to provide to
individuals for further assistance. Congratulations to Sgt. Roman for
successfully completing this course, which will allow him to assist our college
community.
