Author Leslie Youngblood Will Be a Human Book at the MCC Human Book Event on May 1
The Human Books Event is pleased to announce that Leslie Youngblood, author of Love Like Sky will
be a "Human Book" at the MCC Human Book Event on Wednesday, May 1 from 11:00
a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Brighton campus library.
"Publishing a book is a difficult journey for any writer, regardless of
genre," Youngblood writes. "To defy the odds and land a two-novel deal with one
of the largest publishers in the world requires perseverance. For a local,
mature African American woman to accomplish that--well, it's a story not many
can tell. I'm honored to be among those who can. Come share the ups and downs
of traditional publishing with me, and learn about the real deal behind a book
deal."
Copies of Love Like Sky will be available for purchase at the event.
The Human Book Event is a series of conversations rather than presentations.
Advance registration is recommended. To schedule time to talk with Leslie
