Presidential Search: Next Steps
Dear MCC Community,
On Thursday afternoon the MCC Board of Trustees held a special meeting to
select the presidential candidate who will be recommended for approval by the
SUNY Board of Trustees.
The SUNY process for approving a community college president requires the
utmost level of respect and confidentiality. That is why, at this time, the
name of the person recommended by the MCC Board of Trustees will not be
disclosed until the SUNY Board of
Trustees' meeting on January 26-27, 2021. Immediately following the SUNY
Trustees' vote on and appointment of MCC's president, the College will share
the exciting news with MCC students, employees and the Rochester community.
On behalf of the MCC Board of Trustees, thank you for the time, energy, and
expertise that you invested in the presidential search process. Informed by
your input via the survey responses and guided by the College's core values of
integrity, excellence, empowerment, inclusiveness, collaboration and
stewardship, the Board is very proud to recommend the College's next president
for approval to the SUNY Board of Trustees.
If you have questions about SUNY's presidential appointment process, please
contact Kristin Lowe (Human Resources) or Clayton Jones (Government and
Community Relations).
