Alert - On March 7 Student Email Will Require MFA

Starting one week from today, MFA (Multi Factor Authentication) will be required for students to log-on to email.  Set up your MFA now to avoid getting an error message when you try to sign in to your email on or after March 7.

Student email is in the Microsoft 365 cloud, as is your access to Microsoft applications in office.com. MFA will help protect your account from being taken over by scammers.

To enroll in MFA, go to the App Store or Google Play to download the Microsoft Authenticator App on your phone.  Then on your computer go to myaccount.microsoft.com and sign in with your MCC student userid and password. Then click Security Info and then Click on + Add Method.  Select Authenticator App from the drop-down menu and follow the on-screen instructions.

If you want more details, refer to the attached document, which can also be found at myMCC > Students > Technology Help > Technology Quick Links > Enroll in Microsoft MFA.   https://www.monroecc.edu/fileadmin/SiteFiles/GeneralContent/myMCC/documents/microsoft-mfa-optin-enrollment.pdf

For assistance, contact the Student Technology Help Desk at 292-8324 option 1 or email technologyhelp@student.monroecc.edu.
