Remember The Importance of Giving To Others
As we approach the holiday season, I encourage us all to think about the
many ways in which we can be of service and support to others. That is
what helps to create a sense of belonging not only for the students we serve
aaaat MCC, but also for those who live in the communities surrounding our
various locations.
In the spirit of service, MCC's Veteran Service Office and the Vet Club are
proud to be supporting the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toy for Tots
Program again this year. This program helps to distribute toys to
local children whose parents or caregivers are financially unable to do so
during the holiday season. If you would like to donate a new, unwrapped toy
there are several collection boxes located on campus and these need to be
collected by Wednesday, December 15th. You can find a collection box at:
- PRISM/Veteran Services (1-108)
- Financial Aid (1-231)
- Student Life & Leadership Development (3-126)
In closing, I am reminded of the words of the late Dr. Martin Luther King,
Jr who reminds us all that, "Life's persistent and most urgent question
is, 'What are you doing for others'." Thank you in advance for your
donation, no matter how big or small.
