League for Innovation Art Contest Winners Announced

Every Spring, Monroe Community College art faculty choose five art pieces created by current students to represent MCC in a national art competition hosted by the League for Innovation. This years competition has been organized and juried by Kirkwood Community College in Iowa. In total, nineteen Community Colleges participate in the competition, each submitting five pieces.

One of MCC's selections, Renee Guerin's digital design piece, Resilliant, was awarded second place in this years competition. To be selected to represent the college is an honor, and to receive one of the six award is of the highest distinction.

Please help me congratulate Renee on this wonderful achievement. A catalog of the competition is currently in production and should be available to MCC by the end of the year.  (A digital copy of Renee's piece is attached.)
