Spring Awakening

Auditions for MCC’s Fall Musical, Spring Awakening, are open from Wednesday, September 1 – Wednesday, September 8 at 5:00PM. Actors may choose to submit and online audition (see link below), or audition in person in the Mainstage Theatre (4-141) on the Brighton Campus from 3:30PM-5:00PM on Wednesday, September 8.

Actors must perform 16 bars of a musical theatre song, and a 1-2 minute contemporary monologue. If you choose to submit your audition online, you must upload your video to YouTube and have it as “Unlisted.” There is a place on the online audition form for you to paste the link to your video.

Actors must be enrolled students for the Fall 2021 semester. If cast, you will be added to either MUS 142 or THE 142, and will earn 3 credits. Rehearsals are MTWR from 3:30pm-6:30pm. While most rehearsals will be in-person in the theatre, some will be Zoom. Students cast in this show must be vaccinated for Covid 19 by September 27. Show dates are November 19, 20, & 21.

PLEASE NOTE: This show deals with serious adult themes including sexuality and suicide. It is recommended that potential cast members research the show before auditioning.
