Save the Date: Human Books Event on April 29
MCC's fourth annual Human Books Event will take place on Wednesday, April
29, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the LeRoy V. Good Library on the Brighton
Campus.
This event is intended to encourage dialogue as a path toward developing
intellectual curiosity, empathy, and empowerment through the exploration of new
perspectives. Members of the MCC and greater Rochester community who have a
unique perspective to represent act as "Human Books," and MCC students,
faculty, and staff have the opportunity to borrow them for 30-minute
conversations one-on-one or in small groups. The event utilizes an innovative
and positive approach to challenge stereotypes and prejudices in an atmosphere
of exploration and discovery.
More information about this year's Human Books Event is available on our website.
Additional Human Books and an online reservation system will be added later in
the semester.
