College Forum Scheduled for April 23 Has Been Postponed
The in person College Forum scheduled for April 23 at the Downtown Campus
has been postponed due to the COVID-19 outbreak. This would have been the
second College Forum held this academic year. The first College Forum was held
on February 25 and you may view the meeting notes here<
/a>.
The College Forum was created in response to a request from the College
community to provide faculty, staff, students, and members of the Rochester
community:
- Direct access to members of the MCC Board of Trustees
- Time to engage in dialogue
- An opportunity to follow up on any concerns
In this spirit of cooperation and with shared governance partners, the Colle
ge Forum Agreement was crafted.
We recognize that the College community has been asked to adapt to
unprecedented changes in the last several weeks and we join you in adapting to
change: on April 6 we will hold our first remote Board
meeting, which will be livestreamed to all of you. The Board remains
steadfastly committed to providing members of the College community with direct
access to Board members and time to engage in dialogue and follow up on
concerns via the College Forum. We anticipate that a second College Forum will
be scheduled prior to the end of the academic year and that it will likely be
in a Zoom meeting format. We will share additional details once they have been
finalized.
