Mental Health Resources
As you prepare for your summer course(s), please know your mental health is
an essential part of your overall health and well-being.
According to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI):
- 1 in 5S. adults
experience mental illness each year.
- 1 in 25S. adults
experience serious mental illness each year.
- 1 in 6S. youth aged 6-17
experience a mental health disorder each year.
- 50% of all
lifetime mental illness begins by age 14, and 75% by age 24.
- Suicide is the 2nd leading
cause of death among people aged 10-34.
For each of us, we use different tools to keep us mentally healthy. COVID-19
is presenting unique challenges as we navigate this new way of life. It is
important to remember we are in this together.

- Emergency/Mental Health Crisis - If you or someone you know is at risk of

- For mental health counseling, call the COVID-19 Emotional Support Hotline

- For assistance connecting to community resources, dial 211 or
1-877-356-9211, and Life Line will connect you to vital community
resources.
