Save the Date! A Human Books Event is Coming to the Downtown Campus
A Human Books Event will take place at the Downtown Campus on Wednesday,
April 18, 2018, from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
The event is intended to encourage dialogue as a path toward intellectual
curiosity, empathy, and empowerment through the exploration of new
perspectives. Members of the MCC and greater Rochester community who have a
unique perspective to represent will act as "Human Books," and MCC students,
faculty, and staff will have an opportunity to borrow them for 30-minute
conversations, either one-on-one or in small groups.
Andrea Kingston (Library Services) is leading the Human Books Event planning
team, which includes Diane Clements (ESOL/TRS), Tokeya Graham (ENG/PHL), and
Mary Timmons (Library Services) from the Downtown Campus, as well as Kristin
Lowe (President's Office) and Alice Wilson (Library Services).
Would you like your students to experience the Human Books Event? Contact
either Diane Clements (dclements@monroecc.edu) or Alice
Wilson (awilson@monroecc.edu) for
details.
