Positivity Day
The American Association of Women in Community Colleges (AAWCC) along with
WMCC, First Yr. Experience and the Wellness Council would like to extend an
invitation to faculty, students and staff to participate in the
“Positivity Day” event scheduled for Wednesday, March 16th.
With March being Women Awareness month, we want to take the opportunity to
acknowledge the contributions that some of these amazing women have provided to
the community and/or world-wide. In addition, we want to take the
opportunity to allow faculty, students and staff to
“self-acknowledge” what they have achieved so far in this past
year.
Please see the attached flyer for additional details.
In conjunction with AAWCC, the Wellness Council’s American Heart
Association Committee will be present raising awareness in a continuation of
the Go Red for Women campaign and the Heart Walk taking place on June 9th.
Please join in on the ‘Fun’draising efforts in spinning the
prize wheel in request of a donation, donating your cans and bottles to the
cause, or joining/donating to the MCC Heart Walk team.
Come see the committees at their table to learn more.
If you have any questions, please contact Yolanda Johnson (yjohnson@monroecc.edu) or Tom Winslow
(twinslow@monroecc.edu ).
