MCC Downtown Campus Celebrates Earth Week
Earth Week is a time of the year to reflect on how your life impacts the
planet. During this week, people think about new ways to reduce their carbon
imprint and improve water quality, and get together to make earnest strides
towards making the Earth a better and healthier place to live.
In celebration of Earth Week, SEGA is sponsoring the following activities at
the Downtown Campus:
Monday, April 22: Walk with Peace - Walk with
SEGA
Noon-1:00 pm, meet outside Multi-Purpose Room 200C: Weather permitting, SEGA
will be walking up and down the High Falls Bridge to encourage students to
connect with their community, exercise, and find inner peace.
Wednesday, April 24: Be the
Change
Noon-1:00 pm, 2nd Floor Lounge: SEGA will be raising funds for Flint
Michigan water relief. They will be showing clips on the water crisis and
encouraging students to pay attention to social issues.
April 22 - May 17: Backpack Drive
SEGA will be accepting donations for gently used backpacks for at-need MCC
students and their families. Filling the backpack with school supplies is
encouraged but is in no way required.
