Professor Elizabeth Johnston (English/Philosophy) Wins Poetry Award
Every year Rattle literary magazine offers a $15,000 prize to
a single poem; ten finalists are also chosen and, in addition to publication in
the Winter issue, are eligible for the $5,000 Readers’ Choice Award,
selected by subscriber vote in February. This year there were more than 15,000
poems submitted. Elizabeth Johnston's poem, "After My Teenager
Tries...." was selected as one of the ten finalists for the 2021
prize.
