A Conversation with Dr. Carol Anderson: Voter Suppression, Inequity,
and Racism
Please join us for a moderated discussion with Dr. Carole Anderson,
chair of African American Studies at Emory University, to explore one of
the most serious issues in American politics today: the use of voter
suppression tactics to disenfranchise generations of Black Americans and
disable true democracy. In her books One Person, No Vote: How Voter
Suppression is Destroying Our Democracy and White Rage: The Unspoken
Truth of our Racial Divide, Dr. Anderson argues that white rage and white
supremacy have consistently fueled anti-democratic tactics in the past and
propelled strategies like present-day gerrymandering. Join us for this vital
conversation.
