Welcome to the Fall 2020 Semester

While this fall undoubtedly will be a semester like no other, MCC is excited to welcome you today and be part of your life-transforming journey, whether you are on campus or studying from afar. Thank you for studying with us.

Prepare to be inspired by your professors and especially your fellow students -- their "can-do" attitude, commitment to scholarship, and belief in the power of a college education to open doors of opportunity. We remain focused as ever on helping you achieve your dreams and prepare next steps in life -- whether your dream is to transfer, directly enter the workforce, or advance your career. You deserve nothing less.

Thank you also for staying safe as we overcome the challenges of the pandemic. Below are a few reminders as we begin the semester.

  • MCC's reopening is guided by three fundamental principles: 1) the health, safety and well-being of students and employees; 2) the college's core teaching and learning mission; and 3) responsiveness to changing conditions and community needs and expectations.
  • Our operating principles are available online.
  • We continue to work in close partnership with the Monroe County Department of Public Health to ensure your health and safety.
  • MCC requires students and employees to complete a daily COVID-19 self-assessment, scan an MCC identification, and wear a mask prior to entering campus buildings.
  • Campus population density is dramatically reduced.
  • The fall 2020 academic calendar remains unchanged, starting today through December 16.

Stay connected by reading the Student Tribune and referring to our online Return to Campus Guide for ongoing updates. Questions sent to covid19response@monroecc.edu will be answered promptly.

We all play an important role in keeping our campus community healthy and safe. We will continuously adapt as new information about COVID-19 becomes available and in accordance with state and county guidelines. Thank you for doing your part.
