Mathematics Department Scholarships

The Math department would like to call your attention to a number of scholarships that we offer to students.

Robert A. Fratangelo Memorial Scholarship

Stuart R. Porter & Joyce R. Porter Endowed Scholarship

Jan Z. Wiranowski Endowed Renaissance Scholarships (one for Math-related and one for Non-Traditional)

Jan Z. Wiranowski Endowed Humanism of Hope Scholarship

Beyond the Formula Endowed Scholarship - Statistics

Beyond the Formula Endowed Scholarship - Math

Beyond the Formula Endowed Scholarship - Elementary Education or Business

While most scholarships (the main exceptions being the Humanism of Hope and Renaissance Non-Traditional Scholarships) have math requirements, the requirements vary based on the scholarship. Also, most scholarships include the requirement of professional recommendations and a personal statement from you (the student), so the application process may take some thought (and time).

This year is going to be challenging since many of our classes are now classified as Online or Remote, meaning that there is less opportunity for face-to-face interaction with professors who would be willing to provide you the required recommendation. We are hoping that, before the Fall semester slips away, you can begin to think about the application process, and contact professors for their recommendations.

For more information, please check the Scholarships page on the Math Department website, either under the A-Z Index (M) or by following this link;

Applications for scholarships close at 11:59PM on Monday, March 15, 2021.

Thank you for your consideration of this!
