For Students: Important information regarding the Financial Aid Freeze date
What is the Financial Aid Freeze Date?
The Financial Aid Freeze date for this Fall 2020 semester is Friday,
September 18, 2020.
Why is this important?
Your anticipated financial aid award offers are calculated based on
your FACE (Financial Aid Course Eligibility) enrolled hours eligible towards
your current degree program.
If you anticipate receiving financial aid in the Fall 2020 semester, please
assure the following:
- You are officially registered and attending all your
classes.
- If you choose to add classes after September 18, 2020 for the fall
semester, know that these courses may not increase your financial aid offers
for this semester.
- Please note: Waitlisted courses do not count as registered courses
for the term.
- You will need to assure that any late start courses need to be
registered prior to the freeze date to be fully considered for financial aid
award offers.
We encourage you to view your class schedule and confirm that all registered
courses show as FACE eligible. Sign into my.monroecc.edu, select Student, then My Account, click on
Self-Service then the Student tab, select Registration and then Registration
Compliance Results. Here you will see the Federal and State financial aid
eligibility of your registered courses.
Any registration changes to your courses for this semester should be
completed by the end of the freeze date, Friday, September 18, 2020.
For assistance with adding/dropping courses, please contact your
assigned advisor.
