Dr. Vogt Presents at the Photonics Spectra Inaugural Online Conference

On January 20, 2021, Dr. Alexis Vogt, Professor and Endowed Chair of MCC’s Optical Systems Technology program, presented to over 1,500 people at the Photonics Spectra inaugural online conference. The conference featured over 70 webinar presentations discussing the latest trends, technologies, and applications under four tracks:  Lasers, Optics, Spectroscopy, and Biomedical Imaging.

Dr. Vogt's presentation, “Optics Education and the Workforce,” discussed the worldwide technician shortage and how training programs are educating a more diverse pool of optics and photonics technicians.
