Assistant Professor Gene Goff Awarded Five US Patents
Assistant professor of Electrical Engineering Technology Gene Goff, P.E.,
was recently awarded five US Patents for his work at previous employer Biamp
Systems, LLC. The patents propagated from his development of digital signal
processing algorithms and methods of automatically measuring speech
intelligibility, room acoustics, and equalization of multichannel audio systems
used in remote conferencing equipment.
Gene transitioned from adjunct associate professor to full-time assistant
professor in August 2022. Gene is an MCC graduate of the Electrical Engineering
Technology program, and was nominated to the MCC Hall of Fame. Gene is also a
graduate of RIT and U of R, and past employers include Bose Corporation and
local electronics manufacturing company Ashly Audio.
Gene is listed as the primary inventor on six US patents 0231650, 0232309,
0232332, 0232334, 0232336, 6317117.
